Wise Oak Herbs, which creates herbal medicinals & body care products, tasked us to create a branded online experience for individuals to buy their handcrafted herbal goods.
Wise Oak Herbs brings the local, handcrafted, herbal goods buying experience to customers nationwide. Their founder wanted to transition to supporting her own online sales, without losing what she loved about the Etsy platform she had been using. Without any experience working with a digital team, she gave us full range to implement the solution we determined would best fit her needs. We confidently rose to the occasion.
Without much more than an existing logo, we had to create a visual identity that resonated with the herbal community and would be accepted by their existing customer base. We wanted to take the experience that customers got from using Wise Oak products and recreate that same feeling for their online users. By using earthy tones and minimal aesthetics, we were able to keep the users’ focus on the products themselves.

The website itself separates its products into categories and allows for an intuitive shopping experience. We opted to develop a custom theme for WooCommerce, a WordPress-powered e-commerce platform that allowed us to provide the client with an easy-to-manage backend, with which they were already semi-familiar.
To retain customers, we set up an integrated MailChimp email list that sent out 10% off coupon codes. To allow visitors to engage further, we hooked in Wise Oak’s Instagram feed. To attract even more resellers for their product line, we implemented custom forms and simple calls-to-action across the site.
